South Houston Therapy Director Goes ‘Over the Edge’ to Support Special Olympics

Last Saturday, a member of our South Houston team braved great heights to help raise money for the Special Olympics Texas. Angela Gullett, therapy director, participated in Over the Edge, a unique fundraising event in which participants raise funds in exchange for the once-in-a-lifetime experience to rappel 15-22 stories down a high-rise building. Angela participated in the Houston-based Over the Edge event and rappelled 20 stories down the Embassy Suites Houston – Downtown. Autism Services Team Participates in Special Education Conference

Last weekend, members of our Autism Services team participated in the 37th Annual Association of Schools and Agencies for the Handicapped (ASAH) Conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey. More than 1,500 educators, caregivers, representatives of service organizations and family members of people with special education needs were in attendance at the conference. The rodeo is an adaptive sports event, hosted by the Orange County Sheriff’s Posse, for people with all forms of disability who under most circumstances would not be able to participate in rodeo events. Meet a Member! Meet Kamdyn, a precious 13-month-old girl who loves music, dancing, dolls and watching her brothers play sports and has overcome many difficulties in her young life.
