Last weekend, members of our Autism Services team participated in the 37th Annual Association of Schools and Agencies for the Handicapped (ASAH) Conference in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
More than 1,500 educators, caregivers, representatives of service organizations and family members of people with special education needs were in attendance at the conference.
Epic team members Ryan Loesser, autism services operations manager, and Jenny Pourakis, regional director of autism services, manned an information booth at the event and shared information about our applied behavior analysis (ABA) and autism services with families and other attendees.
“It was a terrific experience to serve as a resource for these organizations and families,” said Jenny. “We’re already looking forward to participating again next year.”
The conference featured a variety of workshops addressing best practices in special education, education policy and school administration as well as an exhibit hall featuring vendors and agencies that provide products and services to the special education community.
Student artwork was also on display throughout the conference.
ASAH is a not-for-profit organization of private schools and agencies in New Jersey which provides highly specialized services to more than 11,000 infants, children and young adults with disabilities. Founded in 1974, ASAH now serves more than 145 schools and agencies throughout the state.
Thanks, Jenny and Ryan, for serving as a resource to the community!
