Last Saturday, team members from Epic’s Fort Worth office participated in the 16th Annual Hispanic Wellness Fair, a family-friendly event that provides a wide range of medical screenings, social services and other relevant health information to members of the community.
This year’s fair was held at the Will Rogers Memorial Center in Fort Worth and attracted more than 10,000 attendees.
Epic team members Yudith Varela, therapy intake coordinator; Lizeth Arellano, therapy client services coordinator; and Andrew Garza, executive director, spent the day meeting members of the community and sharing information about Epic’s home health care and pediatric therapy services with families.
“We enjoyed meeting Fort Worth families and sharing information about all of the great services that we offer,” said Andrew. “This year’s fair was a huge success, and we look forward to participating again next year.”
The goal of the event is to share information about community health resources with the Hispanic community while breaking communication barriers and building trust among health care providers and attendees.
The fair targets the Hispanic community but is open to everyone in need of healthcare services and education.
This year’s fair was organized by the Hispanic Wellness Coalition.
Thanks, Fort Worth, for serving as a resource to the community!
