On July 12, our Katy team hosted a booth at a family-friendly resource fair for Spanish speaking families of children with special needs in Houston.
The event was attended by over 20 families and held at the Texas Children’s Pediatrics Ripley House.
The fair featured a seminar, “How Can I Help My Child with Special Needs?”, which shared valuable information with families about community resources available to them and included a panel of Houston-based bilingual doctors and social workers.
O.J. Lozano, client relations director, was available to talk with families and agencies about our home health care services for children and adults.
“I am glad I was able to participate in this event and serve as a resource for Spanish speaking families within the special needs community,” said O.J.
This is the first year the Katy office has participated in the fair. This year’s event was hosted by Baylor College of Medicine and Texas Children’s Hospital in collaboration with The Arc, Greater Houston Chapter and the Texas Children’s Pediatrics Ripley House.
The event was made possible thanks to funding awarded by the Texas Department of State Health Services.
Thanks, Katy, for helping Houston families!
