Arlene Carrillo, speech-language pathology assistant with our Epic Pediatric Therapy clinic in Allen, Texas.

Meet a Member of the Epic Team

Today, it’s our honor to introduce you to Arlene Carrillo, speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA) with our pediatric therapy clinic in Allen, Texas.

Q: What do you enjoy most about being an SLPA?
I love being an SLPA because I have the opportunity to help individuals communicate more efficiently with their family, friends and peers.

Q: Why did you choose to work at Epic?
A: I chose to work for Epic because everyone here was so welcoming and offered their help when I was new to this field having just graduated college. My coworkers and I have a bond that goes beyond the clinic and I am very grateful for that.

Q: What are your favorite therapy tools or activities?
A: My favorite therapy activity is to hold therapy with other therapists of different specialties such as occupational, physical and speech therapy and their patients in order to make the work fun and grow as a team.

Q: What are your top three therapy resources?
A: My most valuable resources are my iPad, board games and other speech-language pathologists and SLPAs.

Thank you, Arlene, for all you do for our patients and the local community!
