Meet a Member of the Epic Team

Today, it’s our honor to introduce you to Jennifer Clark, certified occupational therapy assistant (COTA) with our branch in College Station, Texas.

Q: What do you enjoy most about being a COTA?

A: I love helping children and their families achieve what is important to them. I believe I learn just as much from my patients as they learn from me!

Q: Why did you choose to work at Epic?

A: I chose to work at Epic because I love working with kids. Having the opportunity to observe a child in his or her home setting is vital to understanding their environment. Children are more comfortable in their homes; therefore, they make greater progress.

Q: What’s your favorite therapy tip or activity?

A: Q-tip painting is fun for the kids and me, too!  It works on grasp, visual motor integration, fine motor control, and motor planning. You can paint so many different things and they don’t even realize they are working on handwriting!

Q: What are your top three therapy resources?

A: My top three therapy resources are Pinterest, PediaStaff and my fellow therapists.

Thank you, Jennifer, for letting us get to know you and for all you do for our patients and their families!
