Meet a Member!

Today, it’s our honor to introduce you to Blake Sanca, COTA with our pediatric therapy clinic in Tyler, Texas.

Q: What do you enjoy most about being a COTA?

A: I have always enjoyed helping people, and I feel like it’s what I am here to do.

I love being a COTA because I have the tools to change a child’s life and impact it in a way that allows him or her to live independently. I want to help and change as many lives as possible, not just the child’s life but the family’s as well.

I love what I do, and I love working with kids. It is the best feeling in the world to know you are making a difference and impacting the lives of so many.

Q: Why did you choose to work at Epic?

A: I chose to work at Epic after speaking with several employees and realizing that they genuinely care about the families they provide care for, and they truly strive to get the best outcome possible for them.

Q: What’s your favorite therapy tip or activity?

A: I love sensory, so the messier the better! I also enjoy activities that can help a child refine her fine motor skills and motor planning abilities.

Q: What are your top three therapy resources?

A: My top three therapy resources are Pinterest, OTplan.com and Handwriting Without Tears.

Q: Anything else you would like to share?

A: I am the father of two outstanding children, and I have the best wife a man could ask for.

When I’m not working, I enjoy spending my time attending my daughter’s cheer competitions and my son’s baseball games and cheering them both on.

Thank you, Blake, for letting us get to know you and for all you do for our kiddos and the local community!
