Meet a Member!

Today, it’s our honor to introduce you to Rachel Lopez Lugo, speech-language pathology assistant (SLPA) with our pediatric therapy clinic in Allen, Texas.

Rachel Lopez Lugo, SLPA

Q: What do you enjoy most about being an SLPA?
What I love most about being an SLPA is interacting with children and being a part of their educational growth.

Q: Why did you decide to become an SLPA?
A: I was a teacher for five years before becoming an SLPA, and I always admired the field of speech-language pathology. As an SLPA, I like that I can still work with children of all ages and help them with their independent speech and language skills.

Q: Why did you choose to work at Epic?
A: I decided to work at Epic because we are a team that works together to provide clients with the highest quality of health care.

Q: What are your favorite therapy tools?
A: Simple rhymes, sing-song mode, cheers and rhythm are my favorite tools to engage clients.

Thank you, Rachel, for letting us get to know you and for all you do for our kiddos and the local community!
