Meet Our Epic Nurses


In honor of National Nurses Week, we’re introducing you to team members from our amazing Epic nursing team!

Kristen Collins, Nursing Director, College Station

Please join us in congratulating Kristen Collins, who was recently promoted to nursing director! Kristen joined Epic two years ago as a field nurse before being promoted into a nursing supervisor position.  Her 12-year nursing experience includes adult psychiatric and chemical dependency, acute and long-term pediatric psychiatric, medical/surgical, neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) and pediatric home health. She is originally from Lubbock, Texas. Her favorite hobbies are playing Xbox and watching college football.

Meet Winnie Odundo, nursing supervisor with our branch in Addison, Texas. Winnie joined Epic five years ago as a field nurse and received a promotion to a nursing supervisor role in 2014. She loves being a nurse because she enjoys helping people and making a difference in their lives.

Becki Mickle, Nursing Director, Katy

Meet Becki Mickel, nursing director with our branch in Katy, Texas. Becki joined Epic in April of 2013 as a field nurse. Last month, she was promoted to a nursing director position. Her pediatric nursing experience spans 33 years including positions with a children’s hospital, physician’s office and private duty nursing.  Becki is originally from Houston. In her spare time, she loves sewing, cooking, cake decorating and spending time with her pets, Pongo, a sun conure bird; and Sammy, a shih-tzu dog.

Meet Liz Keith, nursing director with our branch in Beaumont, Texas. Liz is originally from Kirbyville, Texas, and has been a nurse for 10 years. Her healthcare experience spans 22 years and includes positions in a hospital, outpatient surgery, endoscopies, post-partum, labor and delivery, and newborn nursery. She began at Epic as a field nurse before transitioning into a nursing director position in October of 2010. When she’s not working, she spends as much time as possible with her family, including two grandchildren.

Meet Mark Ayers, regional nursing director with our branch in Houston, Texas. Mark’s nursing career spans 36 years and includes experience in orthopedics, medical/surgical, emergency, director/emergency medical technician, substance abuse, prison healthcare consultant, hospital nursing supervisor, hospital operations director, hospital assistant vice president, performance improvement/risk management/case management director, in-patient psychiatric care and as a private duty nursing regional nursing director. He is originally from Austin, Texas. Mark received his Master of Health Administration from Trinity University in San Antonio and holds a B.S. in Nursing from the University of Texas at Austin. In his spare time he loves sketching, painting, recycling, participating in environmental group activities, riding his BMW R1100RT motorcycle, and organic farming with his spouse.

Meet Angela Hunt, nursing supervisor with our branch in north Houston. Her nursing experience spans 15 years and includes positions in geriatrics and as a certified medication aide. She joined Epic in 2010 as a field nurse and was promoted to nursing supervisor in January of 2015.  She is originally from Killeen, Texas, and was raised in Houston.
