North Houston 4-Year-Old Receives Special Wish

Dreams do come true! Just ask Keegyn Schultz, a 4-year-old client with our North Houston branch.

While many children often dream of becoming princesses and super heroes, Keegyn dreamt of becoming the captain of his very own pirate ship.

And last Saturday, Epic team members were on hand to watch his dream come true.

Thanks to the wonderful people at Make-A-Wish Foundation, Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana chapter, Keegyn got his very own pirate ship playground.

All week long, the Make-A-Wish team was busy constructing the ship in the Schultzs’ backyard. To make sure Keegyn didn’t see the construction outside, his parents covered all of the windows in the house.

But like any curious little boy, Keegyn knew something was going on, he just didn’t know what until the big unveiling on Saturday.

“Keegyn was beyond excited when he saw his new pirate ship playground,” said Marcus Koenig, executive director for Epic’s North Houston branch. “We are truly honored to have been a part of making his wish come true.”

Marcus also joined in the fun by dressing up as a pirate and serving as a member of Keegyn’s crew.

Ahoy, Captain Keegyn!

Thanks for inviting your Epic family along for the ride!
