Our Weslaco team supported the fight against cystic fibrosis by being a sponsor at last Saturday’s 7th Annual Rio Grande Valley Great Strides Walk in Edinburg, Texas.

Great Strides raises funds for cystic fibrosis research and drug development, and supports the local Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Lone Star Chapter.

Eddie Hinojosa, client relations director, and Amanda Mendez, therapy referral coordinator, passed out information about Epic’s services to runners, walkers and their families.

“It was a great experience being a part of an event that supports a great cause,” said Eddie. “It was truly a blessing to see so many people giving back to the community.”

This year’s walk was held at the University of Texas-Pan American Wellness and Recreational Sports Complex, and attracted hundreds of walkers and runners.

Sponsors held several prize drawings, and many of the winners gave their prizes to children living with cystic fibrosis.

This is the second year the Weslaco office has participated in the event.

Thanks, Weslaco, for supporting cystic fibrosis research!
